John Greenewald Successfully Crowdfunded The Release of 4,358 Secret CIA Mind Control Documents

John Greenewald, who is founder of The Black Vault, has spent his life trying to pry secrets out of the US government. His site specializes in declassified government records obtained via Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests.

Greenewald takes caches of FOIA documents to upload them online, making them available to the public, including collected files about UFOs, the JFK assassination and various futurist weapons.

There are now more than two million pages accumulated, which makes The Black Vault the world’s largest online collection.

Greenewald’s eye is on the prize with released MKULTRA documents, which he successfully crowdfunded, getting his hands on some of the most elusive documents he’s ever tried to nab. Huge success!

In 1953 the MKULTRA program began when the CIA was interested in creating mind-slaves through subjecting them to LSD for extended periods of medically-induced sleep, mixed with extreme forms of electroshock therapy and sensory deprivation to induce hypnosis, amnesia, and even physical paralysis.

MKULTRA was supposedly part of the Cold War effort to keep up with the Soviets, who the CIA believed were using such techniques to brainwash Americans.

Often marginalized people–prisoners, prostitutes, civilians and even solders–were unwitting participants in the program and were given doses of LSD while being secretly observed.

Every guinea pig in the experiment’s behavior was subsequently monitored and Multiple Personality Disorder was induced, which is a defense mechanism that occurs when a person goes through intense trauma. The defense mechanism is the mind’s way of dealing with distressing events. It was believed that fracturing a person was key to making the perfect mind slave to carry out missions for clandestine service, or even just the perfect worker by the CIA’s standards.

At least one death has been attributed to the program: military scientist Frank Olsen, whose drink the agency spiked with LSD at a research conference in 1953. He would later die after a suspicious fall from a Manhattan hotel room, which was the subject of the recent Errol Morris documentary, Wormwood.

Thousands of new documents from Project MKUltra, the Central Intelligence Agency’s mid-century mind control program, will soon be released. The new records include 4,358 undisclosed pages regarding MKUltra’s “behavior modification” efforts.

..The existence of the previously unknown MKUltra pages was discovered in 2016, when a Black Vault user, Oscar Diggs, discovered irregularities in the collection the CIA disclosed to Greenewald. Diggs created a list of missing records and pages described in the index. The CIA refused to fill in the gaps in their original FOIA disclosure, claiming that extant MKUltra documents pertaining to “behavioral modification” were not the same as those pertaining to “mind control.” Greenewald is currently crowdfunding to cover the fees imposed by the CIA for the remaining 4,358 pages.

Greenewald first uploaded MKULTRA documents in 2004, which took up tens of thousands of pages, spread over four CD-ROMs.

The Index alone was 85 pages.

There is a lot of time and effort put into FOIA requests. I sent 3 dozen out after writing “The Meth Messiah Has Returned” and was totally stonewalled with letters by government agencies refusing to share any information about a meth lab inside of the Kosher slaughter house.

Very good job, John! I can’t wait to read your documents and add them to my personal research into Mind control.

FYI – Bucky Barnes was MK’ed in “Captain America: Winter Soldier.”
